5 Reasons LEGO Games Can Be Better than Official Games
When it comes to video games for DC, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, and more adaptations of iconic franchises, LEGO video games always have a way of charming their audiences. In some cases, LEGO games are even better than official games for these franchises. LEGO even provides games for franchises that don’t have their own games. Here are 5 reasons why LEGO games rule.
1. The Original Soundtracks
Whether you’re driving the Batmobile, wielding your lightsaber, or running away for a T-Rex, LEGO games usually include music from the original films. This helps to fulfill that inner child and to deliver on the nostalgia even more. As soon as you hear the iconic music from Superman or even Indiana Jones, it’ll immerse you into the world. It doesn’t get better than that.
2. Humor

The LEGO brand has become known for its sense of humor, especially in its movies. In video games, LEGO finds a way to make even the most serious moments charming or funny. You won’t see Lurtz, the Uruk-Hai, killing Boromir with arrows; he uses a banana. This makes the games very family-friendly and won’t put a damper on your gaming experience.
3. Easter Eggs
Sure, most games have Easter eggs in them, but LEGO usually brings it on a whole other level. There are usually collectibles and additional missions that provide some major throwbacks to even the tiniest details about the franchises. You’ll catch Adam West in many Batman/DC LEGO games for those who love the show from the 60’s. Now that’s dedication.
4. So Many Characters
When you’re playing a LEGO game, you’re most likely given the chance to play multiple characters. You don’t have to just be Spider-Man or Luke Skywalker. LEGO allows you to show love for all of the greatest and even most obscure side characters that you can think of. Have you ever heard of Squirrel Girl? You’ll find her in LEGO Marvel games!
5. Fuel Childhood Imagination
All of the little details of these games will definitely bring you back to playing with your LEGOs as a child. The little clicking noises when the characters move, the well-assembled buildings and vehicles, and the little accessories they can use make you feel like a kid again. It goes without saying that the biggest comic book or movie nerds will have a blast with LEGO games, but they’re harmless enough to share with the whole family, too.
